It is a small organ system with big variety that allows PAs & NPs to work inpatient, outpatient, or both! it is a specialty that lets you master the system, but keeps you from getting bored.

There are many procedures that PAs/NPs can do and lots of opportunities to first assist in the OR! It pays well, on par with the surgical subspecialties, but patient volume can be a downside!
